Linda graduated with Diplomas in Computer Studies (NCC, UK) and the Teaching of English to speakers of other languages (TESOL). She was General Manager of one of USA’s largest NVOCC (Non-vessel Operating Common Carrier) Imports companies for 10 years. Part of her portfolio included overseeing the entire process of un-stuffing containers, which fully involved her hands-on when visiting the warehouses. Her meticulousness is shown visibly throughout her work, making sure every single detail is being attended to.
From logistics specialisation and management, Linda ventured into the field of early childhood where she eventually gained 10 years of hands-on experience in childcare operations. This foray has equipped her with thorough knowledge in maintaining excellent relationships with both children and parents. Besides her committed dedication to creating a classroom environment that inspires children and fosters a love of learning, Linda has excellent understanding of teaching strategies for children in various stages of their development. To enable them to grow up confidently, Linda believes that early childhood educators should embrace passion and love when educating and nurturing the little ones. She is perceptive, down-to-earth, and a strong believer in the quality of early childhood education which is crucial in helping to shape children’s character in their early years.
General Manager, Business Operations
Jane completed her Master’s Degree in Education with the National Institute of Education (Singapore), and graduated with First Class Honours for her Degree in Early Childhood Studies, having earlier attained a Merit Diploma in Early Childhood Education. Apart from bagging two scholarships awarded by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) as well as the Singapore Institute of Management for her academic excellence, Jane’s passion for teaching also earned her the acknowledgement of fellow early childhood professionals when she was conferred the distinguished Early Childhood Teacher Award by the Association for Early Childhood Educators (Singapore) (AECES) and MCYS in 2007.
Jane’s interest in early childhood education was sparked during a short stint as assistant teacher in 2000. Since then she continues to demonstrate exemplary dedication and leadership in the profession. Her ground-up industry experience in the various professional roles she has undertaken includes being Educator, Principal, Curriculum Specialist, Practicum Supervisor, Assistant Vice President for Franchise and Corporate Development, Chief Operating Officer, and Operations Manager for different preschools and before-after school care.
Jane has added Human Resource development to her portfolio for the past years, having qualified with a Specialist Diploma in Human Resource Management, which she finds integral to her work. She is also a well-received guest speaker for HR and Early Childhood topics at reputable institutions. With her varied portfolio, Jane is strategically positioned to understand and manage a multitude of curriculum, HR and operational issues faced by operators, principals and teachers.
Tai Yam Peng
Yam Peng joined G8 Education Singapore in 2012 as Head of Finance and is responsible for the accounting, financial and tax related matters of the Company. She has over 20 years of working experience in the field of finance, accounting and auditing.
Prior to joining the Company, she was Finance Manager of the Singapore subsidiary of Zwiesel, the renowned German manufacturer of exquisite crystal ware and glasses, as well as Accountant for a SGX Main Board listed IT company. Yam Peng is a graduate of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA).
